Editor Modes

The Editor Mode decides what will be edited and which editor features are active.

Each mode has its own layout, with menus, panels, tools and shortcuts.

Navigation Mode turns the editor into a viewer for the project: the tools and the inspector leave the screen, and the perspective view fills the whole viewport. It is available in geometry editing and in the artboard.

  • Dragging with the left button orbits the view, the middle button pans and the wheel zooms.
  • W, A, S and D move the camera without holding any button, Q and E go down and up, and Shift speeds up.
  • Double clicking an object takes the camera to the clicked point, which becomes the center of rotation.
  • Esc leaves the mode.
