Real-Time Editing
Several people can open the same project and edit together. Every change shows up right away for everyone.
To edit together, the other person needs access to the project, as a collaborator (see Sharing) or as a member of its workspace.
Who is in the project
A badge in the bottom left corner of the viewport shows who else is in the project and the state of your connection.
- View only: Shows up when your role does not allow editing. You follow the changes, but cannot change anything.
The object each person selected gets an outline in their color.
Chatting
With someone else in the project, the badge gets Chat with everyone:
- Everyone: A conversation with everyone in the project.
- Direct: Click a person's avatar to talk only to them. The camera button takes your view to their point of view.
Conversations are not saved.
Two people in the same place
If two people change the same property of the same object, the last change wins.
Editing an object's mesh and painting a texture layer can only be done by one person at a time. If someone is already doing it, the editor tells you who, and Edit anyway lets you in anyway.
Undo and redo apply only to your own changes.
Offline
If the internet drops, you keep editing, and the badge shows how many changes are waiting. They are sent when the connection comes back. Do not close the tab while there are changes waiting.
If one of your changes can no longer be applied, for example because someone deleted the object, the editor undoes it and lets you know.
With your Claude
An agent connected through MCP also edits along: it shows up in the badge as Your Claude, and you see each of its changes as they happen.
Click its avatar to talk to it through the editor chat. Each person talks only to their own Claude.
