Path
Drawings made of lines, which become solid inside Extrude.

A Path is a drawing made of lines, open or closed. It shows only in the viewport, as a guide or a drawing, and does not appear in the render.
Where a path comes from
- SVG: Import an SVG with Import, or drag the file onto an empty area of the viewport. Each color of the file becomes a path, inside a group named after it. Dropped on an object, the SVG becomes a texture.
- DWG and DXF: The drawing of an imported CAD file comes in as paths.
- MCP: An agent can draw paths.
Text Path and Shape Path are in Add Object.
Fill
With Fill on, the closed area of the drawing gets a color. Open lines stay lines.
When one outline is inside another, Holes decides what becomes a hole:
- Every inner curve: Every outline inside another is a hole, and an outline inside a hole is filled again. This is the default.
- By curve direction: Depends on the direction each outline was drawn in, as in SVG.
Becoming a solid
Inside Extrude, a path becomes a solid with the chosen thickness, keeping its holes. The other modifiers also accept paths.
Properties
- Color: The line color.
- Fill: Fills the closed area.
