Property Inspector
The Property Inspector shows the properties of the selected object, split into sections.
Transform
- Position: Where the object is, in meters, relative to its parent.
- Rotation: The rotation, in degrees.
- Scale: The size on each axis. The lock next to it keeps the proportions.
Scaling a cube stretches the mesh it already has. Changing its width, in the geometry section, creates a new mesh at the new size.
Appearance
- Visible: Hides the object without deleting it.
- Surface: A color, a material, a noise, a pattern, or the same surface as the parent object.
- Shading: Smooth makes the surface look curved; flat shows each face, the typical low poly look.
On a group, the appearance lists the surfaces of what is inside it.
Geometry
The measurements and shape of the object, which change from one type to another. See each type in primitives.
Editing values
Number fields take dragging the slider, dragging over the number or typing the value. Some sliders stop at a maximum but accept a larger typed value.
A right click on a property copies, pastes or resets to the default value.
